| AIDS is an infectious disease that attacks the immune system. AIDS means Syndrome (A set of symptoms) Immunodeficiency (which attacks the system inmulogógico) acquired (not inherited but caused by a virus). It is caused by a virus called HIV or HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus).
